Why Should I Join?

The ADA has been vigilant in protecting your professional interests in Congress. State and local legislators have heard the voice of dentistry through the WSDA and CCDS Representatives. That's a benefit to you.

Continuing education and information in virtually every area of dentistry becomes readily available when you support this unique national, state, and local partnership. Members of the tripartite have access to a variety of useful programs; from CE courses, to practice management resources, peer review systems, and insurance and retirement programs.

The power of organized dentistry is here to help. For more information on membership and its benefits, please visit:

Leadership Academy

The Leadership Academy is sponsored by WSDA and CCDS to promote excellence in leadership, practice management, and community development.

Members receive custom practice management consulting, mentorship from CCDS members, WSDA members, and community sponsors.

This program is open to dentists who have graduated from dental or specialty programs within the past ten years.

Nominations are being accepted throughout the month of May.

Peer Review

Clark County Dental Society offers a free mediation service to the public for members of the dental society.

What is peer review?

Peer review is a mechanism by which organized dentistry demonstrates the appropriateness and quality of the care it renders. It provides an expert and credible system for resolving disagreements that cannot be resolved at an earlier, more informal stage.

Peer review panels are composed of dentistswith appropriate credentials who conduct hearings, review evidence, and make objective decisions based on the findings. Peer review panel members are volunteers who practice and live in your local community.

Peer review is not a court of law, has no disciplinary powers, and is not a punitive process. The purpose is to help educate, mediate, clarify, and, where necessary, exercise remedial procedures. Peer review is voluntary, however all parties must comply with the findings of an arbitrated settlement. Peer review does not consider cases that are in litigation.

If you have a complaint and your dentist is a member of the Clark County Dental Society, please call us at 360-256-1755 and ask for Michelle.
