Monthly Meetings - Hybrid Format

Our monthly meetings are held on the first Thursday evening of the month (September through May).  Currently, it is either a hybrid format in-person, at a local venue selected by the CCDS Executive Council, with the option to attend virtually, or meetings held 100% virtually.

In-person and virtual attendance instructions are shown in the individual event pages, which you can access below.

Cost:  CCDS Members - Complimentary
           Non-Members / Guests - $50.  Please make check payable to CCDS

CCDS MEMBERS: Nominations for open positions on the 2023/2024 CCDS Executive Council will take place after our April Speaker has concluded their presentation. You must attend the April meeting either in-person or virtually to nominate someone for the EC. Nominations will be accepted through chat for our virtual attendees. Elections will be the first order of business at our May Member Meeting.

This meeting will be held in person at the Royal Oaks Country Club with complimentary dinner and virtually via Zoom.

Based on the time attended, members can receive up to 2.5 CE credits. Individual online attendance is tracked automatically by Zoom. In order to earn CE credit via Zoom, attendees must join using a computer, laptop, or smart device. Those only calling in by phone will not be eligible for CE credit.

"Current Science, Future Reality" with Dr. David Carsten. Dr. Carsten will discuss the latest in literature and what this may look like for the future of dentistry.

Dr. Carsten, MAGD, FADI, FACD

Speaker Bio:
David Carsten, DDS, MAGD, FADI, FACD, and Fellow of the Pierre Fauchard Society. Dr. Carsten has a degree in Biochemistry from Washington State University.  He is a graduate of the University of Washington School of Dentistry, Class of 1984.  He was given the Award of Distinction in Continuing Education from the Academy of Dentistry International in 2005.  He was recognized as an Outstanding Graduate of Centralia College and was their commencement speaker in 2015. Dave is a dentist Anesthesiologist after training at Lutheran Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York.  He is a commissioner with the Dental Quality Assurance Commission of Washington State.  He mentors the COORS study club, a PACE certified study club for dentists. Dr. Carsten is a faculty member at Oregon Health Sciences University in the General Practice Residency.  He is a member of the steering committee for the DLOSCE for the American Dental Association.

Member dentists who attend in person will receive complimentary dinner at the Royal Oaks Country Club. Those attending over Zoom will no longer receive a check from CCDS for $25 towards the cost of dinner.
