Lecture Description:
Treatment planning is an ever-changing aspect of dentistry especially with all the new digital tools that are available for every clinician. As our entire world moves more digitally, there are now options to make significant improvements to bring our ideal planning much closer to precise execution. Historically it has been difficult to explain in words to laboratories and patients our desired final treatment outcomes, but with enhanced software to utilize CBCT images, intraoral dental scans, digital photography, and simulated outcomes, our communication can become clear and powerful. Dr. Gillespie will explore the advantages of several types of imaging systems, different scanners as well as how to put all the pieces together to make your treatment planning become more effective and your final outcomes more predictable.

Objectives:
· Understand the breadth of digital dental scans
· Utilize imaging software to an expanded capacity in treatment planning esthetic and implant cases
· Explore the possibility of digital design in esthetic cases
· Improve communication between laboratory and clinician using digital tools and scans
· Understand the potential of digital printing advantages in everyday dentistry
