A Post-Pandemic Future

Preparing Your Business for a Post-Pandemic World
In a piece in the ADA News (5/1), American Dental Association President Chad P. Gehani discusses the ADA’s journey through the coronavirus crisis, and its first steps toward recovery, stating that “there may be no playbook for a pandemic, but the ADA has not been without strategy.” Looking to “dentistry’s post-pandemic future,” Dr. Gehani writes, “We want to help dentists rebuild and return prudently to caring for patients in this new normal.” To help with this, Dr. Gehani pointed to the ADA’s newly appointed Task Force on Dental Practice Recovery, which outlines steps to help ensure dentists have access to personal protective equipment, and efforts to enable dentists to administer COVID-19 tests, and he added that “there is much, much more to come.” Dr. Gehani concludes, “Our community is in it together as we navigate these trying times. As dental practices reopen their doors and our colleagues get back on their feet, we will be in it together still.”
