Thursday, June 17, 2021, 25 dental hygienists graduated from Clark College’s Bachelor of Applied Science in Dental Hygiene program. Kristi Taylor RDH, MSed, the program’s director, says she is excited to place her recent graduate class and wants dentists to know “they’re ready.”
Kristi estimates that all 25 graduates from the program will have their licenses activated by the end of July after board results are in. This is encouraging for dentists in the area to know that help is on the way after a year like no other. Clark’s dental hygiene program is highly competitive and has had a high placement rate in previous years and it is likely that if you practice here locally you have had a Clark graduate on your team before.
Please contact Kristi with any information regarding any open positions on your staff and Kristi will include the position in her email communications to both her recent graduates and program alumni. Now is a good opportunity to hire hygienists early in a front office, sterilization, or dental assisting role to familiarize them with office practices and procedures in advance of their licenses becoming active.
Kristi also encourages dentists in the area to reach out with the latest prevalent topics in the dental industry. The program is always eager to provide pertinent training to its students that is sought after in the field.
