CCDS Dental Workforce Committee

The purpose of this committee is to: 

• Support the development and implementation of oral health career programs in public and private secondary learning institutions, including consideration for innovative apprenticeship models.
• Support the recruitment and outreach by dental institutions to high school students.
• Support the expansion of the dental hygiene and dental assisting programs, enabling more students to enter the profession.
• Encourage dentists to gain credentials to teach dental programs in general, and to participate as educators in our local programs.
