In a paywalled article, Inside Health Policy (7/24, Mills-Gregg, Subscription Publication) reported that “House Ways & Means Republicans and HHS are urging Medicaid, dental and Children’s Health Insurance Program providers to apply for $15 billion in provider relief after the application deadline was extended to Aug. 3 to give eligible providers more time.”

The ADA News (7/17, Garvin) reported previously that the ADA “continues to encourage dentists who have been impacted economically from the pandemic to apply to receive funding from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ Provider Relief Fund.”

Dentists have until Aug. 3 to apply for funding through the Enhanced Provider Relief Fund Payment Portal. For dentists who apply, HHS also has a helpful instruction form with line-by-line guidance here.

HHS is holding a free webinar today at 3 pm ET to help dental providers with their applications. Preregistration is recommended to participate. In addition, the ADA will hold a webinar on July 28 at 8 pm ET to further assist dentists with questions about the HHS Provider Fund. The webinar also will address other COVID-19 issues, including Small Business Administration loans and updates on Congressional activity.
