The Rural Healthcare Crisis: Why Obamacare Needs to Cure Itself ...
The ADA News (8/14) reported that “the Federal COVID-19 Healthcare Resilience Working Group has launched the Rural Healthcare Surge Readiness web portal, a new online tool offering resources and information for health care providers, including dentists, in rural communities.” Providers can use the new portal to “find the information they need to prepare for or respond to surge events, navigate financial challenges related to the pandemic,” and “enhance their capacity and capability to provide lifesaving care to Americans who live in rural areas across the country,” according to the Federal Healthcare Resilience Working Group Rural Surge Readiness Team.

To view the portal, visit ruralhealthinfo.org/healthcare-surge-readiness or visit the Rural Health Information Hub website at ruralhealthinfo.org and navigate to the Tools for Success page.

The Rural Health Information Hub will also be holding a Twitter chat on Aug. 26 at 1 pm ET to discuss the pandemic’s impact on rural health care facilities and strategies to combat a COVID-19 surge in rural communities.
