David Carsten, DDS, MAGD, FADI, FACD, and Fellow of the Pierre Fauchard Society.
Dr. Carsten has a degree in Biochemistry from Washington State University. He is a graduate of the University of Washington School of Dentistry, Class of 1984. He was given the Award of Distinction in Continuing Education from the Academy of Dentistry International in 2005. He was recognized as an Outstanding Graduate of Centralia College and was their commencement speaker in 2015. Dave is a dentist Anesthesiologist after training at Lutheran Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. He is a commissioner with the Dental Quality Assurance Commission of Washington State. He mentors the COORS study club, a PACE certified study club for dentists.
Dr. Carsten is a faculty member at Oregon Health Sciences University in the General Practice Residency. He is a member of the steering committee for the DLOSCE for the American Dental Association.
David Castillo
The Opiod Crisis
David Castillo is an Emergency Department Pharmacist at PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center in Vancouver Washington. He earned his Bachelor’s of Science degree in Biochemistry from Portland state University and his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Pacific University. He completed a yearlong residency at St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Tacoma Washington and thereafter worked as an Ambulatory Care Pharmacist for the Klamath Tribes in Southern Oregon. He is a Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist; and for the last 5 years he has worked in the Emergency Department where he’s led pharmacist and technicians to higher levels of inter-professional collaboration, staff development, and patient care.
