Anne Nugent Guignon, RDH, MPH, CSP
Our featured speaker is Anne Nugent Guignon, RDH, MPH, CSP and she will be presenting "Arginine, Hydrogen Peroxide, and Water - Magical weapons in the war against dysbiotic diseases."

Dysbiosis is a new way to understand oral diseases like caries, periodontitis, gingivitis, and candidiasis. For decades dental professionals have relied on fluoride, brushing, and string floss to prevent, control, or reverse these conditions. While these approaches have merit, current research shows there are other chemical and mechanical pathways to disrupt biofilm and restore healthy pH levels. This course takes a fresh look at arginine bicarbonate, hydrogen peroxide tray therapy, and fluid dynamics, translating research into real world options. Learn new ways to support homeostasis where healthy microbes proliferate, and pathogens can’t survive, and stable health as the long term goal. Attendees will understand how arginine bicarbonate creates a healthy, sustainable microbial community, appreciate how targeted hydrogen peroxide therapy supports a healthy subgingival microbiome and discover the role of fluid dynamics in daily biofilm disruption

Anne is a visionary thinker. She takes the traditional platform presentation one step further. Anne’s clinician heart sparks conversations about the possibilities and translates current science into clinically applicable, fun, and actionable outcomes. Anne’s WHY began back in 1971. She simply wanted to know what worked best for each patient. As her curiosity grew, so did her passion for sharing information. Anne’s global thinking resulted in numerous accolades for mentoring, research, and guiding her profession. She honed her speaking skills by volunteering with her local dental hygiene association and is now a highly sought-after international speaker, prolific author, and RDH Magazine feature writer. Despite her accomplishments, she is always focused on making life as a clinician better, easier, and more rewarding.
